The Complete Van Beuren Tom & Jerry

In 1931, the Van Beuren animation shop introduced a pair of new characters whom they hoped would become rivals of the likes of Mickey Mouse and Betty Boop in popularity. The would-be superstars were a pair of musically inclined jacks-of-all-trades named Tom & Jerry.

Sadly for the Van Beuren Corporation, the pair never did gain the popularity hoped for, due at least in part to the wildly varying quality levels of their adventures. After singing and dancing their way through 26 surreal and bizarre animated shorts, they were consigned to history.
