Happy birthday, Jamie Lee Curtis!

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis--best known for playing Laurie Strode in the original "Halloween" films and the most recent reboot of the series as well--turns 75 years old today. Join us in celebrating with this gallery of photos of her from her 50+ years in front of the camera!

Happy birthday, Mie Hama

Japanese actress, writer, and radio talk show host Mie Hama turns 80 years old today. She is best known internationally for her roles in "King Kong vs. Godzilla" (1963), "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" (1966), and "You Only Live Twice" (1967), but she appeared in over 80 films and television series before retiring from the screen in the late 1960s to start a family and enjoy what she describes as a "normal life".

Today, we celebrate Hama and her milestone birthday with some publicity photos from her time in front of the cameras!

It's National Adoption Day...

... and we apologize to anyone who finds Fanny's response to our request for a statement to be offbase.

NUELOW to bring More Sex and Violence

Among the items produced by NUELOW Games (the little publishing outfit headed by yours truly) is a series of clip art/stock art collections that's cleverly named the NUELOW Stock Art Collection. It consists of themed collections of public domain art reworked from comics and pulp magazines in a way that make them easily used in just about any sort of book or online project that buyers can think of.

A few years back, we released a set featuring "mature" action- and horror-oriented illustrations that was titled "NUELOW Stock Art Collection #18: Sex and Violence". It did quite well... and now we're releasing a follow-up that's titled "NUELOW Stock Art Collection #28: MORE Sex and Violence". (Clever titles is one of our specialities, as you can see.)

"MORE Sex and Violence" will be available this Friday at the usual places. Among the featured artists are Hannes Bok, H.L. Parkhurst, and Max Plaisted... and today we bring you a few of the included Plaisted illustrations, in order to preview the set.
