Princesses of Mars: Part Eighteen

It's been entirely too long since we've been to Mars to catch up with the beautiful and deadly princesses who roam the red plains.

In memory of Paul Ryan

Comic book artist Paul Ryan passed away on March 6, 2016. Here's a gallery of his artwork in remembrance.

Paul Ryan's first major comics work was co-creating the criminally under-appreciated characters of DP7 (for Marvel's ill-fated New Universe line in 1986). From there, he went onto illustrate Thor, Fantastic Four, and other titles for Marvel. He eventually moved onto DC where he primarily illustrated Superman and Batman stories. Since 2005, Ryan had also worked on and off on the Phantom daily newspaper strip, as well as providing covers for the Scandinavian editions of Phantom comic books.

Attack of the Mummy!

She was part of an expedition that callously violated the tomb of an ancient king. Now she pays the price....

The pictures above were publicity stills for Hammer's "The Mummy's Shroud," a pretty bad movie with one of the worst mummy costumes ever seen in a motion picture not made in someone's back yard. Those are still some pretty cool and scary photos, (The victim is Maggie Kimberly.)

If you like mummies and Egyptian-themed horror, you need to check out these four anthologies that I contributed to/co-edited for NUELOW Games. Each of them contains neat black-and-white horror comics, as well as roleplaying rules designed to bring a flavor of ancient Egypt to your d20 System games.
